On November 23-26, 2009, an international symposium on

"PISA examination. Changing knowledge, changing tests and changing schools"

will be held at the island of La Palma, Canary Islands, organized by CESE
(Comparative Education Society in Europe. Relevant scholars and
specialists from Europe and America will discuss the consequences of the
PISA reports for today's educational systems, their approaches and
methodologies, as well as the implications of this programme plans to
reform secondary education, the challenges imposed by PISA to the
definitions and policies related to school knowledge.

There will be a poster session (in English and Spanish), for the
exchanging of information, communication of ideas, studies and research on
the various issues related to the PISA.

The symposium will be English with professional translation into Spanish.
