Last reminder to register

The European research organisation CESE – Comparative Education Society in Europe – and the Department of Education at Uppsala University organises the 24th International Conference on Comparative Education in Uppsala, Sweden, August 16-19, 2010. The theme is Enlightenment, Creativity and Education: Polities, Policies, Performances.

Seven Working Groups will run throughout the conference:

· WG Enlightenment and Wisdom

· WG Social Models and Economies

· WG Identities and Polities

· WG Creativities and Competences

· WG Education and Educational Governance

· WG Teachers and Teacher Education

· The New Scholars’ Working Group

There is no requirement that the papers deal with ‘Europe’. Papers which draw illustrative material from a range of societies, including those outside of Europe, will also appear; but it is expected that papers will link with the general theme of the Conference. The conference language is English.

Registration is open: Deadline for early registration is June 9.
